To build a future base of supporters and volunteers for nonprofits’ organization and mission, nonprofits are always looking for ways to obtain new recruits.

On August 3, 2017, President Pamela Judd served on a panel called “Best Practices for the Recruitment and Retention of Board Leaders.” Hosted by New York Nonprofit Media and City & State Careers, this lively discussion focused on using social media, videoconferencing, and new technology to connect with supporters of all generations. She compiled a list of recruitment online resources for attendees, such as VolunteerMatch, Taprootplus, and NPower. She also shared stories of successes and challenges of running a volunteer-led organization.

Fellow panelists included Council of Accreditation President Richard Klarberg, Migration Resources Center CEO Frederik Stefani, and moderator William M. Klimon of Caplin & Drysdale.
